Equipment Trailer vs. Flatbed:
How to Tell Which You Need
An equipment trailer is for machines that drive on. A flatbed trailer is for materials and goods that get loaded by hand or by forklift. If you are moving a skid steer or a tractor, you want an equipment trailer with a ramp or tilt deck. If you are picking up lumber, pipe, or pallets of supplies, a flatbed is the right call.
The difference matters because trying to load a machine onto a flatbed without the right ramp setup is a problem. And trying to hand-load long materials onto an equipment trailer is equally frustrating. Big Rentals rents both in Lubbock. Just describe what you are hauling and we will point you to the right trailer.
