Flatbed vs. Equipment Trailer:
Which One Do You Need
The easiest way to decide between these two is to ask how the load gets onto the trailer. If it gets placed on there by a forklift or loaded by hand, you want a flatbed. If it drives on under its own power, like a skid steer, mini excavator, or tractor, you want an equipment trailer. Equipment trailers have ramps or a tilt mechanism specifically for loading machines that drive on.
Trying to load a machine onto a flatbed without a ramp creates a real problem. And trying to get a forklift to load a pallet onto an equipment trailer creates a different one. Big Rentals rents both types in Laredo. Just tell us what you are hauling and how it gets loaded and we will make sure you leave with the right trailer.
